Can I Listen to the Podcast on my Own Device

Yes!!!!

Check out this Page to find out which apps

Is there CME for EMCrit Wees, PulmCrit, IBCC, EMNerd, etc.

Nope–just for the actual EMCrit PODCASTS

Is my personal information safe?

The only information the EMCrit site maintains is your name and your email. All of your credit card information is maintained by Stripe, which has the highest security precautions in the industry. We keep none of your information at EMCrit except your name and email address. We will never share your email or spam–We HATE spam! Click here to read our full privacy policy.

Who accredits EMCrit's CME?

EB Medicine is the CME acceditation for EMCrit. EB Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for clinicians. (Contact EB Medicine if there are any issues related to verifying accreditation). EMCrit complies with the ACCME Policy for CME Delivered Via the Internet (Policy #2002-A-11). See this page for full CME information.

All physician CME is provided by EB Medicine, publishers of the best EM EBM stuff out there.

Nurse CME is provided by Metasin LLC.

What is EMCrit's Relation with EB Medicine?

I am on the editorial board of Emergency Medicine Practice. EB Medicine is not affiliated with any pharmaceutical or medical manufacturing company; they strive to provide the best EM education–just like EMCrit.

What type of CME Credits will you get?

AMA Category 1: EB Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for clinicians.

AOA Category 2-A and 2-B: EB Medicine's accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) allows AOA 2-a or 2-b credit.

Nurses: See Below.

But I'm not in the US, is this still valuable to me?

The following Countries and Regions have reciprocity with the ACCME:

  • European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EU)
  • Canadian CFPC Mainpro+ (Canada)
  • Bulgarian Union of Scientific Medical Societies (Bulgaria)
  • Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK)
  • French National Medical Council (France)
  • Italian Federation of Scientific Medical Societies (Italy)
  • National CME Commission of the Italian Ministry of Health (Italy)
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Canada)
  • Spanish Accreditation Council for CME (Spain)
  • Bavarian Chamber of Physicians (Germany)

but please check with your local medical boards before assuming the credits will be valid for you.

In addition, EMCrit CME is applicable for points for Fellows of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. One core PDP point per hour up to 30 points maximum per triennium.

Specifically for European Physicians

The American Medical Association has an agreement of mutual recognition of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits with the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), the accreditation body for European countries. Physicians interested in converting AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ to UEMS-European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education CME credits (ECMEC®s) should contact the UEMS at [mutualrecognition@uems.eu].

Are you a provider of MOC Credits (ABIM, ABA, etc.)

We cannot submit your credits for you to organizations that require it

But I'm a nurse, are you offering CE credits for RNs?

Hells yeah! We have received accreditation for Nursing CME through the California Board of Registered Nursing. Every other state we have checked with has accepted this certification, but confirm with your own Nursing Board if you have any questions.

How about Nurse Practitioners (NPs)?

According to the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANNC), part of the ANA; these credits are applicable to NPs as they are ACCME approved.

How about Physician Assistants (PAs)?

All AMA category I CME is eligible for your CME requirements.

But I'm a paramedic or EMT, what about CE credits for me?

We will not be pursuing formal ems-specific certification. Many EMS services will accept proof of a valid CME with AMA Credits without formal EMS certification of the activity. Please check with your service and then sign up.

What are my CME Requirements?

EB Medicine has an excellent free site listing CME requirements by Profession and State

How Many Hours Will I get? Which Episodes will be CME-eligible?

Every true Podcast (there are 25 per year) will be offered for 1 hour of credit, so 25 hours per year = $4 per credit hour which is one of the best AV CME deals out there. But forget that, I want folks who want to support the show, not folks who are shopping for the best CME deal.

What Happened to my CME Courses (My membership Expired)

You need to print out your certificates prior to your membership expiring, unfortunately there is no provision to allow us to provide your records after expiration. If you re-up your membership, all of your old certificates will be there.
