Gp from Melbourne : A patient comes to mind who had diahrea and a fever lady aged 60 .Had to lie in bed .Temperature sweaty felt weak .Gave I’m ceftriaxone with xylocaine for two days -worse . Big worry for me was drop in usual blood pressure from 140/80 to 100/70 plus a feeling she was tiring . Diagnosed Sepsis sent to hospital had a Salmonella Sepsis got ill but recovered . Fever Low Bp bit altered with temperature danger signs . Drop in usual Bp by 40 mm Hg plus fever and sweatiness was a big Do Something Fast… Read more »
