Let's be honest, necrotizing fasciitis is a perennial source of errors. This is a difficult diagnosis to make. It can be tedious to continually maintain a high level of suspicion for it, but suspicion and early diagnosis are critical.

In the summer of 2022 I received a beautiful new 54′ sailboat. It was kept at Port Credit Marina (west of Toronto) while being commissioned. The harbour had a huge population of cormorants. The insurer insisted I have lessons from a captain before I could take it out.
