Paul, this is truly worrisome. one hopes that one can trust the minds and committees that we give decision making power to to make unbiased judicious conscientious guidelines and recommendations , including , and perhaps especially, when it comes to recommended standards of national or international care. enforced in some cases by the risk of penalty (e.g., not following the details of the sepsis bundle to the letter). especially when those “letters” are not completely secure, without doubt, and as Dr Nathanson describes above, possibly tarnished.
