Awesome talk! Thank you!
We’ve made a dose of Calcium Gluconate and Fibrinogen automatic orders in our MTP in the second step, because these critical factors are forgotten all too often.
In Ontario, as of December 2020, most hospitals will no longer have access to cryo. Fibrinogen will be the go to in trauma resus and in MTP in general, as per ORBCon and Canadian Blood Services. There are just so many advantages (neutralized for pathogens, compatibility, etc.) with the only disadvantage being cost.
Absolutely fantastic talk, thanks again for doing this.
Love the Pre-Departure checklist. Pure Gold.
