Excellent video
Great show Scott!Really drives home the Microskills podcast.
You mention learning proper seldinger technique from vascular surgeons.
Any references/ suggested reading for us, non ECMO trained physicians, to improve our big lines skills ( dyalisis catheters/pig tail chest drains)?
Scott and Rob- Nice video, thanks. As with ECMO cannulations, I only nick the skin if I’m unable to get the dilator through the skin easily (which makes the insertion site less likely to have bleeding issues).. I also have a second person scrub whenever possible because having 4 hands is great for racking the wire while advancing the dilator.
