Thank you for the great post! Things got alot more clear how/why ketonuria is associated with ketonaemia.
Could you also help with understanding the physiology behind ketone accumulation in the setting on dehydration? I.E. patient with acute gastritis presenting with >15mmol/l ketonuria with no background of diabetes of carbohydrate metabolism disturbances which fully resolves after fluid resuscitation.
