While using a conventional mac blade, what do you think about scooping the tongue from the right to the left instead of lifting it in the center? I’ve had experience where a floppy tongue in a small mouth obstructs my view when my blade is in the center of the tongue.
There are two schools of thought on this. The Levitan method, which I espouse is that if your first point of tongue contact is a few inches down, then the blade is already beyond any floppiness. This requires opening the mouth wide and reaching the blade into the mouth until the tip almost disappears before touching tongue.
